Due to popular demand, Japan’s metal powerhouse Mary’s Blood will unleash a special edition of latest album FATE in the UK and Europe from 18 August 2017 through JPU Records. The fierce album sees the band – who have supported the likes of Marty Friedman and DragonForce outside of Japan – work with some of their country’s biggest names in metal, including two arrangements by BABYMETAL producer Yuyoyuppe (“KARATE”, “Megitsune”) and guest guitar spots from Sgt. Luke Takamura III, the former shredder of heavy metal akuma Seikima-II; and Miki*sun-go*Igarashi, guitarist of Japan’s pioneering all-girl metal band SHOW-YA.
This special edition of of FATE features an exclusive digipak design, and includes a poster and lyric transliterations. It will be available simultaneously with the digital release of Mary’s Blood previous album Bloody Palace and has been released due to high demand from fans across Europe.
JPU Records founder and CEO Tom Smith comments, “We get a lot of requests from fans of Japanese metal for bands to work with, but rarely on the same scale as with Mary’s Blood. I flew to Tokyo to see what all the fuss was about and instantly knew this band had the power and skill to go international. Stuff the language barrier, these ladies are fluent in heavy metal. The guitar solos remind me of why I fell in love with rock music as a kid, and make me just as excited.”

PRESS RELEASE: hide’s Summer Festival: “hide presents MIX LEMONeD JELLY” held again for the first time in 20 years
via Jasmine Himeco, ART OF COMMUNITY Inc. ; edited by Kort
On July 18th, at Maihama Amphitheater, 130 artists from every music genre, ranging from hide’s friends to the next generation artists that inherited hide’s spirit, gathered and made the hottest summer night colorful.
“MIX LEMONed JELLY,” produced by hide in August 26th, 1997, is a circuit event that is connected across many event spaces. What makes this event special is that even in a time when computers and the word “internet” was not common, all five events were connected and broadcast live. The year before, hide held “hide summer special” at Chiba Mari Stadium (Now know as QVC Marine Field). At this event, there were not only performances from artists belonging to hide’s production label, but also BMX, gamers, a fashion show, and a hair cut salon. All of those small events had connections or were related to hide. It was a multi-genre event that collected new music and culture. This type of event was the beginning of “Summer Fes”. More
