Starting off this week with yet another hiatus announcement, this time from ALSDEAD. After seven years together, the group has decided to take a break after their one-man at Takadanobaba AREA on October 9. They feel that, in order to be the best they can be, they need to take a break for now. ALSDEAD still has a handful of shows left, many of which are one-man performances, so make sure to check them out while you have the chance.
So, here’s a cool thing. Synk;yet is giving away ten pair of free tickets to their upcoming one-man Shinjuu no Sono at Shinjuku Reny on October 23. What’s the catch? The tickets are only available for non-Japanese nationals. To apply, just send an email to email@example.com with your name, sex, date of birth, address, phone number and email by October 1 with “Synk;yet OneMan Live Tickets” in the subject line. Needless to say, this covers venue entry only. You are responsible for getting yourself there.
It seems X-Japan wasn’t kidding about their comeback as they’ve added yet another live appearance to the list. X-Japan will be playing TV Asahi’s 5th Anniversary Dream Festival at Yoyogi National Stadium on November 23. Tickets are 10,800yen and go on presale September 11. Dream Festival is known for bringing some of the biggest acts in Japanese music, so keep an eye on the homepage for more artist announcements as they come.
Hot off the release of their latest album, DOGMA, the GazettE have announced the release of the next movement in their Project: Dark Age, a single titled Ugly. No details as of yet on this one with the exception of a November 18 release date. Make sure to keep an eye on their ohp for further information.
A bittersweet announcement for fans of Lycaon. The band will be releasing one final single before their planned disbandment. Titled Last Dance, the single drops on October 14 in two types. Both will only be available in limited quantities, so make sure to preorder while you can. They’ve also released a new look to go with the album. Funeral suits, anyone?
