The Weekly Quickie: Femme Fatale, MASKED RIDER SYSTEM, SID, Exist Trace, The GazettE, DEZERT, Season of Ghosts, Deviloof
Starting off this week with more disbandments (I’m getting really sick of this, ya know). Femme Fatale announced via their OHP that they will be disbanding after their live at Shibuya WWW on January 15. Siting only ‘serious concerns’ that have arisen, the group apologizes for the sudden announcement despite the big plans they had for 2016. They still have a couple of shows left, so make sure to catch them while you can.
The short lived band, MASKED RIDER SYSTEM, will also be calling it quits following their live on February 21. Their comments on the matter are predictably vague, but they do still have a handful of shows left so, if you are a fan, make sure to show them your support until the end.
Fans of SID will soon have an easy way to fill the holes in their collection with the release of SID [ALL SINGLES BEST] on January 13. The album will consist of 2CDs and 2BluRay discs containing the PVS and will include one brand new track titled Yumegokochi.
The first ladies of visual kei, Exist Trace, have announced the release of their long awaited new single. There is no title or track list available as of yet, but we have a release date of March 16.
The Gazette have announced details on the sixth and final movement of Project: Dark Age. The single titled, UNDYING, is slated for a Spring 2016 release. That’s all we get for now, but you know we’ll keep an eye on things and give you more when we get it.
Fans of DEZERT will have to wait a little longer for their latest single. Saiko no Shokutaku, originally scheduled for a December 16 release has been pushed back to January 20. The commemorative live has also been pushed back from December 17 to February 7 at Shinjuku BLAZE.
One year after the release of Human Paradox, Season of Ghosts is releasing a remix album titled Remixing the Paradox featuring electro artists from all over the world. The album will be available exclusively for digital download via their website on December 23. Check their website for a full list of contributing artists.
I’ll finish off this week’s Quickie with a New Band Alert. You may have already heard some chatter about heavy metal rockers Deviloof. The full version of their debut PV just recently hit the internet and HOLY COW! If you are into screaming metalcore (and you know I am) then give this band a listen. Judging by this video, they show tons of promise and I will certainly be keeping an eye on their work in the future.
