The Weekly Quickie: MeteoroiD, Ai, BREAKERZ, REIGN, The MUMMY
I know I’ve been the bearer of bad news lately, but I’m going to start this week off with something awesome. The 2016 convention circuit is gearing up with a bang with the announcement of MeteoroiD‘s appearance at next year’s Tokyo in Tulsa. The convention is held at Cox Media Center July 15-17 and features all the convention staples including anime, art, music and games. MeteoroiD are confirmed for a performance as well as Q&A, Meet and Greet, and a special VIP dinner for Sakura Club members. Registration is only $35 until February 2, so get your tickets now.
DEATHGAZE frontman Ai has announced the release of his second solo single, Karasu. The three track release comes out December 23. In case you missed it, his debut release GLASS SKY is available for download on iTunes and it’s fab, so I highly recommend picking it up.
BREAKERZ also have a new release set for December. Titled Yaiba, the single releases December 9 in three types. If you caught them during the HALLOWEEN PARTY tour with VAMPS, you may have already heard the A side track. It will also be the opening theme for the anime “Card fight!! Vanguard G Gears crisis version” which began in October.
Our favorite devils, REIGN‘s first full length album, “6 6 6” will release on January 6. I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited. The album will release in two types and they do have a host of instore events already planned to celebrate the release. Check their OHP for details.
Keeping the positivity going with a super cool New Band Alert from Sadie members Mao and Mizuki. Their new project is called THE MUMMY and they already have two limited one-man lives scheduled featuring guest artists from also-defunct bands Awoi, 12012 and more. Tickets go on sale November 21 and are sure to go fast, so if you are in Tokyo, head to your nearest e+ machine and grab them while you can.
And, that’s the Quickie! Keep it real.
