I have a handful of lineup changes to announce this week, starting with newcomers Reirei. Bassist Reito will be leaving the group due to musical differences. His final live with the band will be their one-man live at Nagoya SECOND VISION on August 30.
Musical differences have also hit A.S.K. as guitarist Nayuta has decided to part ways with the group. Nayuta’s last show will be September 29 and Shibuya REX after which the band will go on hiatus. This is doubly unfortunate as September marks their two-year anniversary. There are still a handful of lives left and we hope for a quick return.
Carnival will also be losing a member just shy of their first anniversary. Vocalist yo_ has decided to part ways with the band due to directional differences. His final live will be on September 15 at Ikebukuro CYBER, after which the group will go on hiatus.
In better news, Sukekiyo has announced a trio of shows this winter. Called, Chizuru Musume to Hakidame no Shi, the three part hall series will take place in Tokyo and Osaka November 21, 22 and December 2. There are several ticketing options available, including “Wagakokoro” which includes a bonus album and a guaranteed spot in the first level close to the stage for 7500 yen, and “Kore Kara” which gets you second floor seating along with a bonus item for 7000 yen. Regular tickets will run you 5400 yen and go on sale September 14. There will also be a venue-limited single available at each show, so you won’t want to miss out. Check the homepage for venue and ticketing details.
Pop duo ADAMS have announced a couple of US dates for this winter, the first in Tennessee on December 31 and the second in Concord, NC on January 1. Details are scarce, but there is a promise of more dates. In fact, if you’d like to see ADAMS play near you, contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org and let them know! You just might end up with a show of your own!
Alice 9 and Vistlip will be appearing on Nico Nico Visual on August 11, 17:00JST. The appearance will be hosted by Hoshino Takuya and can be viewed from anywhere in the world via the Nico Nico website. Users can also submit questions to be answered by the band! Check the Nico Nico website for details.
About a month ago, I reported on Buck-Tick vocalist Sakurai Atsushi’s new project, The Mortal. More details have been revealed, including linup, artist images and the release date for their first album. The album is scheduled to drop October 14 and will be called Spirit. The linup includes Sakurai Atsushi on vocals, Guitarists Jack Cloudchair and Yukio Murata, Bassist Ken Miyo, and Drummer Takahiko Akiyama. Keep an eye on their homepage for more details to come.
And, that’s the Quickie. Mata raishuu~
