The Weekly Quickie: VAMPS Halloween Party, ViViD, Magistina Saga, Crossfaith, XENON, The Black Swan

It’s almost Halloween!  So, guess what that means.  It’s VAMPS Halloween Party time again!  This year’s party, spanning over two weekends and five days, will include performances from DAIGO, Momoiro Clover Z, Kishidan, Tommy heavenly6, May J. SID, Nogizaka46, MUCC, Silent Siren, Golden Bomber and, of course, VAMPS.  The first three days will be at Makuhari Messe Oct 17-19 and the final two days at Kobe World Hall Oct 25-26.  The party will also feature performances by the special live band, Halloween Junky Orchestra, made up of performers of all participating groups.  This is going to be VERY cool, so if you happen to be in the area, you should really check it out.  If you need to purchase tickets from overseas, they are available at NEXUS Ticket Center.

ViViD announced earlier this week that they will be playing Sunrise Rock Festival in Kaohsiung, Taiwan September 27-28.  They will be performing together with MP and Fire EX.  Tickets are available for either one or both days and they are on sale now, so get ’em while they’re hot!

Magistina Saga is set to release their first DVD, MV Best Vol.1, on October 29.  This collection will include six PVs as well as live footage from their one-man live last May.  If you want to get your hands on it a little early, make sure to attend their release party at Shinsaibashi Club ALIVE on October 3.  This is a very limited release, so make sure to get your hands on one while you can.

Unfortunate news for heavy-metal band Crossfaith.  The band recently announced that they will be canceling their US and Canadian tour dates in September and October due to a repetitive strain injury in guitarist Takemura Kazuki.  The band regrets disappointing the fans, but feels it is the best course of action to prevent further injury to Kazuki.  While this is disappointing for North American fans, we can only wish him the best and hope he comes back stronger than ever.  In the meantime, make sure to grab their newest single, Madness, which goes on sale October 8.

For you folks out in LA, Cure shop, XENON, has two new events planned for you!   The first is the continuation of their livestream Q&A series, this time featuring GRIEVA, happening October 3 from 8-9:30.  The second is Free-Will Fair happening through the entire month of October!  The fair features the cell of CD’s, DVD’s, rare and limited tour merch and more from FWD artists, starting with none other than Dir en grey.  So, check the event page and crack that piggy bank.

I’m going to end this Quickie with the newly released preview of The Hopeless, the first single release from The Black Swan, because…well, it’s awesome and I feel like it.  Before you proceed, be warned, it is slightly NSFW (Jin mentioned on his Twitter that he couldn’t access their OHP from public wireless because it thought they were a porn site lol).  Check it out and pick up their single when it releases on October 15.

And that’s the Quickie.  See you next week!
