Spring is almost here which means NEW RELEASES! Dance Metal band LOKA will release their first new album since bassist MIRO joined the ranks. Called EVO:ERA, the seven track album drops on April 6. The band are also planning a release party at Shimokitazawa Garden on March 21, where they will be joined by acts like ROOKIEZ IS PUNK’D and ASH THE HERO. Tickets are on sale now, so grab them while you can.
Teenage heavy metal vixens BABYMETAL have released details on their upcoming new album, METAL RESISTANCE. The album will include 12 tracks, including an English version of THE ONE, and will release on April 1. This is just one day before the start of their next international tour which starts at Wembley Arena in London and makes several stops in the US. Check the homepage for ticketing and details.
AVANCHICK also have a new single set to release March 30. Their fifth single, titled Tanin no Fukou wa Mitsu no Aji, will release in three types. They have also teased a special announcement to be made at their upcoming one-man performance at Tsutaya O-West on July 8, so stay tuned.
One of my personal favorites, NOCTURNAL BLOODLUST, also have a new release set for this Spring. Their third mini-album ZeTeS is scheduled to drop April 20. No details on the tracklist as of yet, but I’m sure it will be killer. Oh, and Hiro cut his hair. O.O
If you’ve been looking forward to AvelCain‘s newest release, Yomigaeri, it looks like you’ll have to wait a little longer. Originally scheduled for Febuary 24, the release date has been pushed back to March 9. It looks like they’ve run into some technical difficulties, but I’m sure this just means the final product will be that much better.
So, here’s a cool thing. Former Lycaon drummer Eve and vocalist Yuuki have teamed up to remix Gekkai Midarebotan, a vocaloid track produced by Eve back in 2012. As you may remember, Eve left Lycaon in 2010 and, though he has been involved with many types of projects, he currently refers to himself mainly as a vocaloid producer. The track, originally voiced by Hatsune Miku, will now feature the very live voice of Yuuki. The track will be released digitally through niconico.
Great news for Femme Fatale fans. The group held their last live on January 15 at WWW, but it seems vocalist Kaya won’t be down for long. As of March 1, Kaya will be joining Kamijo’s management company, Chateau Agency. He has also been announced as the opening act and MC for several stops on Kamijo’s Japan tour starting March 20. Check Kamijo’s homepage for details and venues.
And, that’s the Quickie. Was it good for you?
