Sadly, we have even more disbandments and lineup changes to report this week, starting with Minerva. Minerva will call it quits after their second one-man live at Ikebukuro EDGE on September 27. Member comments are up on their OHP. In the meantime, make sure to give them your support until the end.
DEZERT guitarist, Kira, has announced he will be leaving the band and retiring from the music scene. Their one-man show at Akasaka BLITZ on September 27 will be his last show ever. He regrets this announcement but states that recently, he’s noticed his ideals have started to change and, after discussing with his bandmates, decided this was the best decision. DEZERT also had a DVD planned for release this summer, but in light of Kira’s departure, have decided to postpone the release. They still have a few shows yet to go, so make sure to catch Kira in action while you can.
Dangan no LIMIT‘s guitarist Ren has also announced his retirement from the music scene as of August 21. He states that he has found another dream besides music and has decided to pursue that. The rest of the group will continue activities as usual with their remaining members. We wish Ren the best of luck and nothing but happiness in his pursuit.
In better news, Femme Fatale has announced a new concept single and tour for this fall. The single is called POWDER and only contains one song, but comes with a sixteen-page photo booklet. The tour, called METAMORPHOSE -Incubation Period, starts October 30 at Niigata BLACK STAGE and ends December 4 at Takadanobaba AREA.
Lixx favorites, Arlequin, have announced the release of a new single as well as their second anniversary tour. Qualia releases November 4 in three types. The tour, called “Sora” dakara Te wo Nobasu, will consist of three one-man shows taking place October through December. Keep an eye on the homepage for more details.
ALSDEAD have announced a set of four consecutive one-man lives for September starting with an acoustic live on September 12 at Shinjuku LOFT BAR LONGE. This live is limited to only 100 people, so get your tickets quick! Going under the title, BORN TO BE DEAD, the remaining lives will take place September 18, 19, and October 9. These guys are KILLER live, so you don’t want to miss it.
After over a year, D=OUT has finally announced the addition of a new drummer to their ranks. Naoto, formally of xTripx as ena, has officially joined the crew. The group will release a new single, Koi ga Dekinai, on October 28 and already have a full length in the works for 2016.
Zonbi has also filled out their lineup with the addition of ex-Spellbox vocalist, Kanata. They’ve posted a couple of videos with the new vocalist up on Youtube and have also decided to postpone their upcoming compilation album, originally scheduled for release in July, in order to re-record the tracks with the new vocalist.
