As a Christmas surprise, MUCC has released a one-track single on December 25. Titled Brilliant World, the single is a limited release and will only be up for purchase until January 5. Currently, it is only available for online purchase in Japan, but according to their Facebook page, they are preparing for an international release, so we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
Kiyoharuwill be releasing his first full length album in three years, Soloist, on March 30. The album will release in both a limited and regular edition, both with 13 tracks. The PV for the album single, Nursery, is already up for viewing, so check it out.
Girl group PERFUME have a new album slated for next spring. No more details than that as of yet, but we do know that there will be a tour following its release. These girls are always up to something fun, so make sure to keep tabs on their homepage for detail
Now, for an announcement that had me all a-flutter this week. Hard rock veterans Dio ~distraught overlord~ have announced a reunion tour. I KNOW! Next year marks the 10th Anniversary of B7KLAN and they’ve decided to celebrate with a tour of Europe. Dio will be joined by The Dirtrucks for the Europe dates, finishing out the tour in Japan at Takadanobaba AREA. Tickets go on sale January 2. This is definitely an event not to be missed.
We just can’t get through a week without one of these, can we, folks? Role-play themed group Souiumonohave announced the release of a new album called GAME OVER. This album will unfortunately be their last. The group announced at their one-man at Ikebukuro BLACK HOLE that they will defeat the evil demon boss on April 10 and it will be Quest Clear. The album drops February 10 followed by a tour of the same name.
Shellmy has hit a patch of bad luck after their departure from KERBEROS ENTERTAINMENT. Bassist Nao and drummer Yuu have announced their departure following their live on January 30 and Shellmy will go on hiatus. Comments on the matter are vague, but it seems that vocalist Hyo and guitarist Yuga plan to continue as a new unit into February. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out.
